Downloads are required if the store is selling digital products, or products that have a downloadable products such as a PDF User Guide or similar. The downloads can be accessed from Catalog >> Downloads.
For each row, update, view or delete action would be performed. This list of downloads would be available under the “Related” tab while creating or updating a digital product.
Create Download
To add a new download requires the following
- Name – Name of the download that would be displayed to the customer
- File – File associated to the download
- Number of Days – Days for which the file can be downloaded
- Allowed Downloads – Number of downloads allowed
Store Front
In the store front, once the customer purchase a digital product, the downloads would be available in “My Downloads”. In case the number of downloads allowed for the product has reached its limit or days limit for the download is reached, the customer would not be able to download the product.
The downloads can be there in two formats. “Download option” setting is configured in the admin panel when product is associated with downloads in the “Related” tab.
